Hello Everyone,

Ok... I admit that after all this time, my crafty room can still use some help. Any ideas that don't cost a fortune? Just when I start make headway, I lose my footing and things start looking messy again. Why do I do that to myself? I just drive myself crazy...

Anyway, I do what I can. I try not to buy new things, but sometimes it's really hard. I"m sure you know what I'm talking about. You see something that really catches your eye and you think to yourself, I have to buy that now. Because if I don't buy it now, it won't be here when I come back later. Well...    I have been trying to tell myself to wait, maybe even write the item down on a piece of paper and put it in my purse. If I'm still thinking about it 3 or 4 days later, then I'll go back and get it. I have, however, found that I can live without whatever it was I thought I just had to have. A lot of time I totally forget about it. I bought some paper from Walmart with roses on it. Really pretty paper. I came home and put it away. I have used only a few sheets of it. Well, I was at Walmart about a month ago and saw this really pretty rose paper. I told myself to wait and to follow my new waiting period rule. Well, I wound up buying the paper anyway. I told myself that the paper was so pretty, that they may run out and I would miss the opportunity to get any of it. Well, when I got home and went to put it away, it turned out that I already had that same pad of rose paper at home. So now I have twice as much. My boyfriend calls it impulse buying. Well, I hate to say it, but I think he's right. But don't tell him I said that. Wink, Wink. :)

Anyway...

I know it's only few weeks into the new year, but so far so good. Hope the same goes for you all.

Well, I hate to cut this short, but I need to get some software loaded on my computer for one of my classes this semester.

Thanks again for visiting and Happy Crafting!

Marylin

February 2012

Hello Everyone

I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by trying to organize my crafty supplies.  I have supplies for beading, sewing, quilting, counted cross stitching, buttons (LOTS OF BUTTONS!), polymer clay, rubber stamping, paper, stickers, which you can never have too much of, and who know what else.

I have been using those white plastic drawers that you can purchase from a number of stores.  I happened to purchase mine at Wal-mart.

I am always searching for a better solution where I would have everything within my fingertips when needed.  Well, I found such a product.  It is 'The Workbox'.  I will be working to save enough money to get one as it would clean up all the storage containers I have here and there and put them into one convenient location.  it also has a table that folds out when the unit is opened so that you can work right next to your supplies.  Also available with this unit are bags that velcro to the one of the inner walls so you can put a project in and grab as you go.  I can't wait to get mine.  I have placed a link at the bottom of this page for you to check it out for yourself.  You can't help but fall in love with them.  They even have one for your sewing machine.

I will be removing my current sewing table as the only thing it holds is my sewing machine.  The rest of the sewing table top is just a catch all.  How many of you can relate to that?  Please tell me that I'm not the only one who does that...  :)

I have added a few pages, this blog page being one of them.  Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to talk about.  I don't know everything, but I would be willing to find out for you.

Thank you looking and I look forward to hearing from you.

If the link doesn't work for some reason, let me know.  I am new to adding links to my pages.

Thanks again!
